TV SCI-FI. NEW YORK. ‘HEAVENLY LIGHT’ A NEW AGE ‘MAGICAL SHOP’.

TATTY ( BRONX) A PSYCHIC WOMAN WHO READS FORTUNES THERE.

HER BOYFRIEND BONO- A SHAMAN TURNS UP.

“Christ Bono, bloody hell, Man, what are you doing?

You’ve caused havoc. Everybody is going crazy!

And I haven’t seen you, you’ve been ignoring my texts-

We haven’t been able to do our usual summer things together.

You know, like our Central Park night time picnics-

Swimming over in California on Malibu.

I miss Us.

I think you’re playing on the other-side, Man.

You’ve gone Black Magic Bono!

It’s summer and we’re having snow-

I mean they’re going

To re-open the ice-rink for Christ sake!

Tornedos like they’ve never known before.

An earthquake that sent buildings flying up to the Empire State.

Forests are like tropical wastelands, you know?

Da wild animals don’t know what the fuck to do!

The world is now a dangerous place. . .

Cos of You.

And this is all because you’re jealous I’m fostering a little

Indian boy, an orphan.

Nottin’ more than a spoilt brat,

That’s You.

You are meant to be a Shaman for good,

A King of the otherworld to take care of ‘dis one,

Not to send the people, ‘n nature, into Hell.

You are supposed to be a maker of Heaven, Bono.

Whats happened to you . . .

I’z a losing respect.

You gone wild, Man!

And it’s Gotta Stop!”

A Dream of Night

( Titania to Oberon- present day)

“Jealousy is an odorous thing

It interweaves right under the skin,

You have breached our trust. . .

Betrayed our responsibility.

Your power is not to be displayed

For chaos’ sake, this is childish humour

And not funny, Husband.

The people are vulnerable to nature

They cannot withstand the tides that swamp,

Fogs that render blindness and heat that scalds

In winter time, when Christmas snows should

Dim their nights and warrant fireside treats

And carols within their candlelit churches.

Picnics on the beach have been overturned

By waves of outrageous blue from the deep;

And summer japes lost in heavy snows.

Spring is not the delight of buds, but more

Their wreckage, as they are frozen out

By your revenge.

Forests wither into frightened ghosts and

The seasons are in a madness of confusion.

Now a crazy world where humans are made small

And afraid beneath nature’s almighty wand.

You have thrown Earth into a maelstrom

For your own sport.

This is the work of a child- You my Fairy King-

And all because I have adopted one!

A little Indian orphan boy and

Like a sibling rival, you are the

Dissembler.

But for you, Oberon, it is your playtime.”

Upside Downside Over

But just now

A jealous boy.

The world turned

Upside

Downside Over

Lakes freeze

With luny japes

Da moon hollers

Winter heat ‘n

Summer snow.

The world turned

Upside

Downside Over

They small- The people

They scared- The people

All cos

I took in a little boy

What a child
